Please consider being a catechist.  Weekly sessions for Grade 1 through 5 are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays after school.  Preparation for First Eucharist and Reconciliation is family-centered. Ask Patti for more information.

St Thomas offers a vibrant faith formation program for children in Grades 1 - 5.  After completing the Elementary School program, children move up to Middle & High School Faith Formation and Youth Ministry.

Elementary level classes, grades 1-5, begin in the Fall and continue through April. We use the Pflaum Gospel Weekly program which is a curriculum based on the upcoming gospel reading for Sunday Mass. The program offers digital content including videos and parent resources as well as an instructional booklet for each child used throughout the year and weekly instructional leaflets that go home with the children after each class to offer a complete catechesis program for our young people.

Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion takes place during the child's 2nd year of enrollment in our faith formation program. Reconciliation opportunities are offered throughout the year, and First Communion celebrations take place in the Spring.
