Tonight at 3:30 & 6:30 the documentary - The Calling - is being shown at the Carondalet Center in Latham (The provincial house of the Sisters of St Joseph on Watervliet-Shaker Road in Latham). It is the story, written and produced, by a film maker in Altamont and tells the story of St Lucy/St Bernadette Parish in Altamont. It features Sr Mary Lou Liptak- a sister of mercy who was the 1st Parish Life Director in our diocese and Fr Paul Smith, the sacramental minister.

As we move into mid-summer and many families take vacations its important to remember to take time out to retreat, rest and rediscover our relationship with God. Click on the news article to see the full reflection.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
