St. Thomas witnesses the Lord’s call to Stewardship by sharing its members’ time, talent, and treasure. A percentage of each week's Parish collections (currently 5%) are dedicated to Sacrificial Giving and used to respond to needs for Christian charity that may not be otherwise met.
See some of the good work that your collections have funded.
A percentage of the Sacrificial Giving funds is distributed to our sister parish program (currently 1%), a percentage will be put into a discretionary fund to be used by the pastor to respond to special needs (currently 1%), and the remainder is distributed by the Sacrificial Giving Funds Committee.
The Sacrificial Giving Funds Committee is comprised of 4 members who meet bimonthly with the Pastor or his designee. The Committee considers written requests for funds (see below) and also actively identifies needs of the Parish and community that have not been submitted. Each time an allocations for funds is approved and made, a report is given to the Parish in the weekly Bulletin. A formal yearly report is also given to the Parish Community. You can see some of these good works here.
Do you know of a need for which the Sacrificial Giving Funds could help? If so, please fill out an easy online request form or complete the printed request form to the Parish Office.
Note that requests from local individuals or groups will receive priority. Non-local organizations will be considered in emergency situation, e.g. floods, hurricanes, etc. Funds will be given to organizations and groups for specific use and not allocated for an organization’s annual budget.
Online requests are sent to the committee upon submission. If using the printed form, please complete it and mail to :
